Department: Logistics Department
Reports To: Logistics Coordinator / Logistics Manager
Supervises: Receiving Forklift Drivers and Temporary Employees
Back Up: Logistics Manager / Logistics Coordinator
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Job Summary
The general purpose of this position is to supervise and document all materials received and ensure they are stored in an accurate, efficient, safe, and high-quality manner.
Principal Duties, Qualifications, and Requirements
- Skilled forklift driver following all safety rules
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Strong math skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Effective communication skills
- Dependable and trustworthy
- Flexible to start early or stay late when required
- Ability to follow instructions and remain highly organized
- Responsible for own actions
- Works closely with all other departments
- Documents all materials received in accordance with receiving policy guidelines
- Maintains files of incoming and outgoing shipments
- Properly inputs released material into GP
- Marks released inbound materials for inventory
- Prepares Non-Conformity and Damage Reports
- Monitors and manages stock levels
- Maintains high work standards with strong attention to quality
- Keeps warehouse clean and orderly
- Follows all safety procedures and wears required personal protective equipment
- Adheres to quality and sanitation procedures and standards
- Demonstrates teamwork and good attendance
- Adheres to all Vita policies and procedures, including GMP, Safety, and Clean As You Go policies
- Performs additional duties as assigned by the Logistics Manager or other departmental managers
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Shipping/Receiving and Microsoft applications
- Ability to use PC, tablet, and print labels
